Transgender Woman Teacher Fighting To Use Little Girls’ Restroom

Just when I think we have reached peak levels of crazy, something else happens that tops all else.   Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) is apparently a complete mess.  I wrote about another transgender controversy at MMSD last week.

The school is now in the midst of another dispute.  4W reports that the hullabaloo involves a transgender woman science teacher at an elementary school in the district.

“Vica Steel (formerly Mark Busenbark) identifies as both non-binary and a transgender woman, and asks students to use the title “Mx.” (pronounced like “mix”) rather than Mr. or Ms.”

Steel is fighting to use the girls’ bathroom at school.  He insists that the walk to the adult staff bathroom is just too far.  He said he would have to walk, “halfway down our long hallways, and down to the first floor”.

In a public letter, Steel also argues that it is transphobic to not allow him in the girls’ bathroom.

The policy our leadership is enacting is to require that staff and students use different bathrooms. I know, that doesn’t seem transphobic on the face of it. Our leadership wants to push the idea that it’s just a clarification of existing expectations. They want us to believe that it’s not transphobic, it’s just about safety and about “listening to all stakeholders”. And if that were true, this would not be a problem.

The school has responded.

Tim LeMonds, MMSD Public Information Officer, contradicted Steel’s claim that a new policy is being put in place. In an interview with 4W, LeMonds stated, “There is no district policy regarding adult staff using children’s bathrooms, so therefore there have been no policy changes. However, as a best practice the district does encourage adult staff to not use a children’s bathroom.”

LeMonds recognized that this best practice is “for safety purposes”, and clarified that adult staff members are given, “choice of which adult bathroom they use based on the gender with which they identify.”

Steel, however, denies that there is a safety risk associated with staff using the same bathroom as students.

The story gets even more crazy.

Back in 2019, the teacher released this video to the students, announcing his non-binary identity.

Watch.  WARNING, your head might explode.

In the video, Steel announces to the little children that he is transgender.  He reads the kids a story that explains transgenderism. Steel ends his video requesting the kids call him Mx. Steel and that they use the pronouns they, them and their when referring to him.

I’m almost running out of words to say about this whole transgender craziness.  How on planet earth is the school allowing this teacher to inject his gender confusion into the school?  Why is he allowed to make this announcement to the children?

This school should be empty.  No parent should continue to send their kid to this indoctrination camp.

It is very, very suspect that this man feels it so important to use the little girls’ bathroom.  Over my dead body would this grow-a$$ man be going into a bathroom with my elementary-age daughter.

And as far as his contention that it’s too far to walk, I say, buck up, buttercup.  No adult staff should be using the kids’ bathrooms. Period.  God gave you legs.  Use them.  Walk to the adult bathroom.  The district needs to make it official school policy that adults are not allowed to use the children’s restrooms.

This whole situation is sad and infuriating.  These kid’s childhood innocence is being stolen from them.  They are being indoctrinated into transgender ideology.  This must be so confusing for them.

Some parents are fighting back and have filed suit against MMSD regarding the district’s transgender policy and activities, such as Steel’s video.

The school district is NOT backing down on their pro-trans policies.

In a statement, Allis Elementary school principal, Sara Cutler, expressed support for the district’s current transgender guidance:

Public schools have the responsibility to teach students how to become caring, inclusive, welcoming members of our communities. As a district, we will stand by our Trans* Guidance, and our superintendent’s unwavering commitment to support inclusive schools. We stay true to our commitment to our Welcoming Schools Program, where we believe that teaching about gender diversity is essential to creating gender-inclusive schools free of bias and bullying.

I pray the parents are successful in their lawsuit.  The focus of all schools needs to be brought back to academics.  And the leftists running these schools need to be kicked out.
